The calendar is found in the front of both the catalog (Graduate and Undergraduate) and the Registration Information and on the University Registrar website.
Classifying is changing from Unclassified undergraduate to a major. An Adult Learner should not complete another application, if in school. To classify, the adult learner must first obtain a Classification Clearance form from the advisor in the Academic Advisement Center in Fell Hall 340 and then follow the current procedure for changing an Undergraduate Academic Program in the major department of choice. If not an adult learner, the student must complete a readmission application for the subsequent term. Admissions will then review records, verify that supporting documents are present, and if the student is admissible, classify the student into the requested major.
Once grade changes are made, the student may view them directly on the iCampus Portal. If the anticipated grade change is not showing, the student may contact the Records Office at (309) 438-2198 to find out if the change is in process.

The University Identification number (UID) is a university-specific identifier that provides increased security with regard to identity theft. Because the Social Security Number (SSN) has meaning beyond its use as a unique person identifier, there is potential for abuse. The UID is a nine- digit number from 800-50-0001 to 879-99-9994.
Due to the danger of identity theft, persons who wish to change their first, middle, or last names on their transcripts or diplomas must provide a copy of their marriage license, a court order, or a dissolution decree certifying their name change. Please send a photocopy of one of these documents with your written or faxed request. We cannot accept a copy of your current driver’s license or social security card. Please be sure to sign this request. Without your signature, we cannot process your name change.
The student should complete a name and/or address change form at the Student Service & Referral Center in Moulton Hall, Room 107 any time the name, local address, home address or parent address changes. Address changes can also be completed by the student through the iCampus Portal or reported via telephone to the Student Service & Referral Center or by sending the request to the Student Service & Referral Center, Campus Box 2202, Normal, IL 61790-2202. Changes should be reported as soon as they occur. Note: If you have applied for graduation, this address change will not affect the diploma mailing address. If you wish to change your diploma mailing address, please contact Evaluations Services at 438-2282.
Changes of address for University residence halls and University-owned apartments are maintained online by staff in the University Housing Services. Addresses for employees are maintained by Human Resources or Academic Personnel.
Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a number used for registration purposes and is initially your birth month and birth day. It must be changed from your birth month and birth day the first time you access the "Student Information" channel on the iCampus Portal to any four digit number, except your birth month and birth day. You may change your PIN by accessing the iCampus Portal and following the instructions. The PIN may be changed at any time you choose. If you forget your PIN contact the Student Service & Referral Center in Moulton Hall, Room 107, (309) 438-2188.
The student should report the error to the Student Service & Referral Center, Moulton Hall, Room 107. The staff will correct the social security number and report the corrected SSN to several campus offices who utilize information from the various files (Housing, Financial Aid, Parking, Library, Student Dispute Resolution Services, Payroll, Graduate School, Honors, etc.). The student should use the incorrect social security number until he/she receives notification that the correction has been made. The systems to correct social security numbers are run nightly. Please note: a signed social security card is required to initiate this correction as well as a photo ID..
ISU employees: Changes made through the SSRC do not affect employee records. If you believe the social security number on these records is incorrect, please contact Human Resources.
